Fair use


According to Wikipedia, fair use is "a doctrine in United States copyright law that allows limited use of copyrighted material without requiring permission from then rights holders, such as for commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching or scholarship." The US Copyright Office outlines four factors when considering if a use falls under "fair use" or not. Find the guidelines here.
